Biography: Kate艡ina Macigov谩 is a second-year doctoral student of the European and International Law program at the Faculty of Law of Palack媒 University in Olomouc. Since her master's studies, she has focused on mediation. Her diploma thesis focused on an analysis of the posititon of the European Union to family mediation. In her doctoral research, she examines mandatory mediation and its aspects in selected EU member states. She is also deals with the research project titled 鈥淚mpacts of the EU Mediation Directive on Selected Areas.鈥� This year, she completed a course at Harvard University on "Child Rights and Child Protection." Additionally, she is involved as a
volunteer in the development of the newly established the Centre for Conflict Resolution and Mediation.
