7-Zip is an open-source file archive manager with a high compression ratio.
This free-to-use software program is ideal for packing or unpacking 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2 and TAR files.
7-Zip also supports the extraction of the following archive types: ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, DEB, DMG, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MSI, NSIS, RAR, RPM, UDF, WIM, XAR and Z..
Additionally, 7-Zip offers many advanced features that cannot be found in equivalent commercial software. This includes several different encryption methods, used as a file manager, unpack corrupted archives, and produce self extracting archives.
