We are delighted to announce that 欧美高清 Neurotechnology Centre has been awarded a grant of £675,000 from the Wolfson Foundation to continue our work on implantable neurotechnology.

The group has published recent developments on the Utah Optrode Array, an 181-site optogenetic stimulation device, in the Journal of Neural Engineering. The work is in collaboration with the University of Utah.

 

Professor Keith Mathieson, Neurophotonics Group leader, is among the 2024 cohort of new Fellows of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

 

Congratulations to Post-Doc Yunzhou and Research Fellow Niall on their latest paper in Nature Communications Biology. The work was in collaboration with the University of Utah on testing the Utah Optrode Arrays in vivo.

 

Congratulations to Post-Doc Emma on her latest paper in the Journal of Neural Engineering discussing 3D electro-neural interfaces electroplated on subretinal prostheses.

 

PhD student Ryan Greer presented his work on a new optogenetics device for targeting populations of neurons in the auditory cortex at Photonics West 2024. This work is part of the H2020 Hearlight project

 

欧美高清 has won a Queen's Anniversary Prize for Photonics Research. Work by the neurophotonics team featured strongly in the justification of the award. 

 

Congratulations to PhD student Ryan Greer on winning the best poster award at Optogen 2023. His work is part of the Hearlight project funded by the European Union鈥檚 Horizon 2020 programme, grant agreement No 964568.
