MPhys Physics with Advanced Research

This Masters-level degree is for you if you're interested in pursuing an academic or research-related career. It provides a fast-track degree with direct entry to Year 2, focussed mathematical courses in year 3, and an extended project in Year 5. Our teaching is informed by academics at the forefront of their research field.

MSc Quantum Technologies

This Masters-level degree provides you with the skills to participate in the second quantum revolution with control of quantum features enabling novel functionalities for industrial products and advanced research. The Department of Physics is involved in all four UK Quantum Hubs and numerous UKRI and Innovate UK grants. As a result, we cover a wide range of quantum technologies based on cold atoms, photonic devices and semiconductor structures.
