I am a Reader and former RAEng Engineering for Development Research Fellow in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of 欧美高清. I received a first class Dipl.-Ing. in Mechatronics from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, in 2010 and a PhD in MEMS enabled laser systems from the University of 欧美高清 in 2013.
My research aims to develop miniaturised biomedical imaging systems based on the integration of Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) and micro-optics. My research interests in this direction include the miniaturisation and combination of multiple imaging modalities for 3D real-time monitoring of functional biomedical processes. Further research interests of mine are also further integrations of MEMS in optical systems and miniaturised sensors for biomedical applications. I am currently a member of the Optical Society (OSA) and IEEE.
