Projects

Borz, Gabriela (Academic)
The RELINK2 Action will intensify existing networking efforts of scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds and countries in the EU and beyond, to address two problems:

(1) How can democracies regain legitimacy and rebuild the link between representative institutions and citizens using the benefits of digital technologies?

(2) How can political organisations connect with digitally marginalised but politically active groups (the elderly) and with digitally active but politically marginalised ones (young citizens)?

The project will start in October 2024 and last till October 2028. RELINK 2 is hsted by Wroclaw University, Poland (professor Michal Jackunski) and is seconded by 30 academics from 18 countries.

Gabriela Borz acts as co-leader of Working Group 4 (Engagement and dissemination) and is a member of the RELINK2 management committee (UK).

Borz, Gabriela (Principal Investigator)
DIGIEFFECT is a Next Generation EU grant (1,4 mil EUR), National Recovery and Resilience Plans. The primary goal of DIGIEFFECT is to assess the regulation of digital campaigning by focusing on citizens’ perceptions and evaluations. More specifically, the project investigates to what degree regulatory instruments adopted by the European Union, national governments and by the on-line corporations contribute to reducing on-line mis/dis/malinformation during electoral campaigns. The project is hosted by Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
