Personal statement
Mahdi Doostmohammadi joined the Department of Management Science at 欧美高清 Business School as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Operational Research in October 2018. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Applied Mathematics from University of Isfahan, Iran, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Operational Research from University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2014. Afterwards, he moved to the UK and worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Management Science of University of 欧美高清. Then he worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Instituto Superior T茅cnico, University of Lisbon. Before joining the 欧美高清 Business School, he held a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) position in Operational Research at the School of Mathematics of University of Edinburgh.
His research interests lie primarily in mixed integer optimization, mathematical programming, network optimization, mixed integer multi-objective optimization, robust optimization and their applications, in particular in production planning, transportation and inventory routing planning, and metabolic engineering.
Mahdi is currently the director of MSc programme in 'Data Analytics' and online programmes in 'Operational Research' and 'Business Analysis and Consulting'.
