Personal statement

Dr. Fossati is Professor of Aerodynamics at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of the University of 欧美高清. His research interests are in the area of multi-physics, multi-fidelity aerodynamics and data-driven modelling for fluid mechanics. His expertise is in the field of numerical methods for aerodynamics with a focus on high-speed and non-equilibrium flows and data-driven Reduced Basis Methods. At 欧美高清 he is a member of the Aerospace Centre of Excellence (ACE) and he is the director of the Laboratory for Future Air-Space Transportation Technologies (FASTT-Lab). He is associate editor of Computers and Fluids and Shock Waves serves as a reviewer for several journals in the area of fluid mechanics and numerical methods such as the Physics of Fluids, Journal of Computational Physics, Physics of Fluids, AIAA Journal, Journal of thermophysics and Heat transfer, International Journal of Multiphase Flows, Aerospace Science and Technology, Mathematics and Computers in Simulation and the International Journal of Computational Fluid Dynamics.
