Can international students use Clearing?
Yes. International students can apply through Clearing in the UK.
You can apply through Clearing if:
- you have your exam results and, if applicable, your English language test results
- you've not yet applied to any universities in this cycle
- you've achieved higher grades than expected
- your results are not as good as predicted for your original firm and insurance choice universities, and you've been rejected by both choices
- you have changed your mind about your subject or university
You will need to wait until you have all your results to be able to apply through clearing.

Clearing differences for international students
You should aim to go through Clearing as quickly and early as possible, as there are some differences for international students.
Once you've accepted an offer through Clearing, you may need to apply for a UK visa, and this can take time.
To apply for a student visa, you will need to provide all the required documentation – including a valid passport/travel document and your CAS (and English language test certificate if you need one. Information on English language requirements is available on each course page or our main English language requirements page). You’ll also need to prove you can afford to study and live in the UK.

You also need to think about finding accommodation before the course starts. We have a range of secure and affordable accommodation based right in the heart of our campus.
