I am a Chancellor鈥檚 Fellow and Lecturer within the 欧美高清 Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences. I have a PhD in Clinical Microbiology and Biophysics from University College London and 6 years postdoctoral experience.
My primary research interests focus on the interactions of human pathogens with their host, and how they control and evade the immune response. My work aims to aid in the development of novel therapeutics, a greater understanding of treatment regimens and patient management, especially with regards to the distribution of antibiotics. Working as part of the 欧美高清 Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences really allows me to work in an interdisciplinary way and provides opportunities to develop more innovative and exciting new ideas as part of a world-leading and collaborative research community.
As a Chancellor鈥檚 Fellow, I am provided the time to focus heavily on my aspirations of becoming an independent researcher, whilst being supported by the breadth of expertise within the institute. Aside from working to develop a world class research programme, I am enabled to help educate the next generation of young scientist, through both taught lecturing, workshop development and delivery of practical based skills. My aim throughout my fellowship is to establish myself as an independent, internationally recognised academic researcher and make a continued contribution to the international esteem of the University of 欧美高清.
